Pensacola Yacht Club is a private club. Effective
January 1, 2001, four classes of membership are available: active
members; service members, junior members (age 12 to 20 inclusive);
and young adult (age 21-35 inclusive).
The PYC Membership Application Procedure
- An application for membership may be obtained from the PYC
Office by an Active member who will be one of the applicant's
two sponsors
- Each application must be accompanied by two completed Sponsor's
Confidential Statement forms. Once completed, the Sponsor's
Confidential Statement forms must be returned to the PYC Office
and directed to the attention of the Membership Chairman.
- The completed application must be returned to the PYC office
with the required deposits. The amount required will be included
in the Membership application packet. Before the application
can be acted upon, the completed application form must be
posted in the clubhouse for at least two weeks prior to the
Board of Governors meeting which occurs on the third Wednesday
of each month.
- The sponsors must introduce the applicant to at least two
members of the Board of Governors.
- When the above steps have been completed, the Board will
act upon the application at its regularly scheduled monthly
meeting.
- The sponsors will be notified of the Board's actions.
